77th Republic Day Celebration

On 26th January 2025, Republic Day was celebrated by NCC of our College. The NCC Pilots Invited the Chief Guest Mrs. M.A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice-principal Shift – II & Director of IQAC of our college and the Guards Honoured the National Flag with their General Salute while the Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag. The event begun with recitation of Qirath by Dr. S.Afsar Ahmed, Asst. Prof. of Commerce followed by “Tamil Thai Valthu” sung by the Dignitaries and students then the Chief Guest addressed the gathering about the Republic Day and with National Anthem the celebrations ended. Principal, Vice-principal Shift I, Heads & faculties from various departments, Office superintendent administrative staff, students and 46 NCC cadets participated in the Republic Day celebration.

National Seminar on Artificial Intelligence for Advancing Microbial Science

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of Microbiology, jointly organized a one-day national seminar on “Artificial Intelligence for Advancing Microbial Science” on 7th January 2026 at the NMZ Auditorium. The seminar aimed to create awareness among students and faculty on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in microbiology and biological sciences. The program commenced with Qirath, followed by its translation and Tamil Thai Vazhthu. The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. G. Janarthanan, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology. The Inaugural Address by Dr. K. H. Kaleemullah, Principal i/c, emphasized interdisciplinary learning, followed by a Special Address by Mrs. M. A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice Principal (Shift II) and Director–IQAC, highlighting quality-driven academic initiatives. The first technical session by Dr. Raksha K., Consultant Microbiologist, Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru, focused on AI applications in microbial diagnostics and healthcare. The second session by Dr. Arnold Emerson I., VIT University, Vellore, discussed AI and ML in biological research and bioinformatics. The post-lunch session featured student poster presentations with 14 teams participating. The programme concluded with the Valedictory Address by Dr. A. Shafee Ahmed Khan, Vice Principal (Shift I) and Controller of Examinations. A total of 152 students and 12 staff members participated, making the seminar highly informative and successful.

Administrative Training Program on Redefining Administration: A Step Towards Digital Empowerment

The IQAC in association with EMBASE Pro Suit organized an Administrative Training Program on “A Step Towards Digital Empowerment” on 22nd October 2025 at the Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Convention Hall. A total of 17 Administrative staff members actively participated in the program. The session began with the Qirath, followed by the Tamil Thai Vazhthu in chorus. Mrs. M.A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice Principal (Shift II) and Director-IQAC, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the growing importance of digital transformation in higher education administration. The Technical Session was conducted by Mr. Nasar Perambra, COO, EMBASE Pro Suit. In his engaging presentation titled “Redefining Administration: A Step Towards Digital Empowerment,” he demonstrated various features of the EMBASE Pro Suit ERP system and explained how digital tools simplify record management, data handling, and communication processes. He emphasized that adopting technology improves efficiency and supports quality assurance and transparency. An interactive session followed, where participants enthusiastically shared their feedback and clarified operational queries. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. I. Aslam Sheriff, Office Superintendent, who expressed gratitude to the Management, Principal, IQAC, Resource Person, and all participants. The program ended with the National Anthem, marking a meaningful step toward a digitally empowered administration. The program enhanced the digital skills and administrative efficiency of the college’s administrative staff, encouraging them to adapt to new technologies for smoother institutional operations.

The IQAC organized Hands-on One-Day Faculty Development Programme on Mastering Review Papers and Bibliometric Analysis on 22nd October 2025 at 10.00 am in the Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Convention Hall. Mrs. M.A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice Principal Shift II & Director-IQAC welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Person. Dr. K. Thoufeeq Ahmed was presented a memento by Dr. A. Shafee Ahmed Khan. The Inaugural address was delivered by Dr. A. Shafee Ahmed Khan, Vice Principal (Shift I) & COE Associate Professor & Head, Department of English. The Technical Session on “Mastering Review Papers and Bibliometric Analysis” was handled by Dr. K. Thoufeeq Ahmed, Assistant Professor & Research Supervisor, Presidency School of Commerce, Presidency University, Bengaluru. The session was highly engaging, informative and appealed to the participants highlighting on the importance of using Bibliometric Analysis for a highly recommended and successful publication of review papers from any domain. He emphasized on writing a standard review paper such that could contribute to research following ethics and the guidelines prescribed by the concerned journals. A faculty members gave their feedback appreciating the resource person for introducing a new technique in advance research that would simplify their research publication. The valedictory address was delivered by Dr. P.J. Sadia Parveen, Assistant Professor of English, Coordinator Intellectual Property Rights, Institution’s Innovation Council. The successful completion of the Faculty Development Program marked a significant step forward in enhancing research skills and academic excellence. 43 Participants gained valuable insights, shared knowledge, and fostered collaborative learning. This program has empowered educators to innovate and inspire in their respective fields.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Achieving SDGs through Higher Education: Strategies and Best Practices” on 20th September 2025 at the Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Convention Hall. The session was held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address delivered by Mrs. M.A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice Principal (Shift II) and Director of IQAC, who highlighted the significance of aligning academic practices with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. K.H. Kaleemullah, Principal (i/c), who emphasised on the vital role of educators in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future. The technical session was led by Mr. Manoj Mathialagan, Head of Presales Engineering, Map SDG, Division of TechSub Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai & Australia. His engaging presentation focused on innovative strategies and technological approaches to integrate SDGs into teaching, research, and institutional policies. He shared practical insights indulging the faculty into activities to foster how educational institutions can contribute effectively towards global sustainability. The session concluded with interactive queries and feedback, where participants actively shared their views. Mr. A. Md Nayeemullah Khan, Assistant Professor, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, IQAC, resource person, and faculty members for their cooperation and enthusiasm. The event ended with the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of an enriching and thought-provoking program. 41 faculty members participated. The FDP strengthened the faculty members’ capacity to promote sustainability through innovative teaching practices, student engagement, and community outreach aligned with global SDG goals.

21st International Yoga Day Celebration

Mazharul Uloom College (Autonomous) celebrated the 21st International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm on June 21, 2025, bringing together over 100 participants, including students and faculty members. The event aimed to promote the importance of yoga as a holistic practice that nurtures physical health, mental balance, and spiritual well-being. The session commenced with an introduction highlighting the significance of International Yoga Day and its global role in fostering harmony between body and mind. Mr. M. Velavan, a certified Yoga Instructor, was invited to lead the session and guide participants through a series of yogic practices. The practical demonstration focused on three core aspects of yoga: Asanas (Postures): A sequence of foundational poses designed to improve flexibility, strength, and posture. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): Breathing exercises that enhance respiratory health and mental calmness. Dhyana (Meditation): A guided meditation session promoting mindfulness and inner peace. The participants enthusiastically followed the instructor, reflecting a shared commitment to health and well-being. Faculty Development Programme on “Transforming Higher Education: Institutional Autonomy and NEP 2020 Implementation”

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a Five-Day Hybrid Mode Faculty Development Programme on “Transforming Higher Education: Institutional Autonomy and NEP 2020 Implementation” from 10th to 15th May 2025. The inaugural session on 10th May 2025 began with the Presidential Address by Janab M. Nazar Mohamed Sahib and was chaired by Dr. T. Afsar Basha, Principal, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi, who highlighted the pivotal role of autonomy in fostering innovation, accountability, and academic excellence. He emphasized how NEP 2020 empowers institutions to become dynamic, multidisciplinary centers of holistic learning. The first session, led by Dr. S. Mohamed Haneef, IQAC & NIRF Coordinator, Sadakathullah Appa College (Autonomous), Tirunelveli, focused on Curriculum Reforms and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and its impact on employability and flexible, student-centered learning. The second session by Dr. Mohamed Imran Predhanekar, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi, explored AI and Machine Learning in Enhancing Research Productivity, emphasizing the role of AI tools in literature review, report refinement, and data analysis for project-based learning. On the third day, Dr. J. Balavijayalakshmi, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Autonomous), Coimbatore, delivered a session on Learner-Centric Education in the NEP Era, discussing the paradigm shift from pedagogy to heutagogy and the importance of self-determined learning. The fourth day featured Dr. N. Sujatha and Mrs. Jayanthi Sivagami from Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (Autonomous), Chennai, who elaborated on Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Benchmarking Autonomy with NEP 2020, emphasizing graded autonomy, transparency, and continuous quality enhancement. The final session, conducted by Dr. S. N. Suresh, Vice Principal & Director - IQAC, Rathinam College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Coimbatore, addressed Technology Integration and Digital Pedagogy, focusing on digital tools, LMS, e-resources, and AI-based educational analytics. The programme witnessed the participation of 358 faculty members who gained valuable insights into policy implementation, pedagogy, and quality enhancement. The FDP concluded successfully, empowering educators to innovate, collaborate, and inspire excellence in higher education.
