Mazharul Uloom College was established in 1969 by the Ambur Muslim Educational Society (AMES) with the vision of providing quality higher education to students from all backgrounds. The initiative was spearheaded by the great leather industrialist and philanthropist, Late Janab Anaikar Abdul Shukoor Sahib, whose efforts laid a strong foundation for the institution. The college began with a small number of students but experienced steady growth over the years, expanding its academic offerings and infrastructure. Today, it serves a large student population with a dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff. Located on a 21.5-acre campus, Mazharul Uloom College continues to evolve, adapting to the changing educational landscape. In 2003-2004, the AMES College of Education was established on the same grounds, further strengthening its commitment to higher learning.
The college upholds the vision of its founders by providing inclusive education beyond caste, creed, and social divisions. It offers five undergraduate (UG) programs in Shift I and five UG and two postgraduate (PG) programs in Shift II, catering to diverse academic aspirations. With a legacy spanning decades, Mazharul Uloom College remains a beacon of education, fostering academic excellence and holistic development among students.
