Cyber Crime Awareness Programme

The Citizen Consumer Club of our college organized a Cyber Crime Awareness Programme on 29 July 2026 at 3.00 p.m. in the NMZ Auditorium with the objective of creating awareness among students about the increasing incidence of cyber crimes, online frauds, digital safety, and responsible use of the internet. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran (Qirath) by Mr. B. MD Abdullah, II BCA, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu rendered by the students. Dr. A. Niyaz Ahmed, Coordinator of the Citizen Consumer Club, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of cyber awareness in the present digital era. He emphasized that students should be well informed about online threats and adopt safe digital practices to protect themselves from cyber fraud and identity theft. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. K. H. Kaleemullah, Principal i/c, who appreciated the efforts of the Citizen Consumer Club in organizing such a timely and informative programme. He encouraged the students to become responsible digital citizens and remain vigilant while using online platforms. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. Rajkumar, Sub Inspector of Police , Tirupattur District delivered an insightful and informative address on various aspects of cyber crime. He explained the common types of cyber crimes such as online financial fraud, identity theft, social media scams, cyber bullying, fake job offers,. He educated the students on safe online practices, including the use of strong passwords, two-factor authentication, safeguarding personal information, verifying suspicious links, and reporting cyber crimes through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930). The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. M.A. Uzefa Rashida, Vice Principal, Shift II, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest for his enlightening presentation, the Principal, faculty members, organizing committee, and students for their wholehearted support and active participation. The event came to an end with the National Anthem rendered by the students.
